I learn fast,
communicate clearly,
and follow through.

I’m Brady Shaw, a student leader at the Illinois Mathematics and Science Academy. I’m interested in engineering, public service, and work that depends on being organized, curious, and good with people.

01 / APPROACH

Useful in the real world.

I’m comfortable explaining something to a prospective student, coordinating with a theatre crew, helping guests at camp, or digging through a complicated question until I understand it. My strongest work usually sits where people, information, and systems overlap.

04 / CURIOSITY

Things I keep taking apart.

Not everything I work on is finished—and that’s usually where the interesting part begins.

A

Long-term direction

Roller-coaster engineering

I’m interested in how rides turn structural design, mechanical systems, and human perception into a controlled experience. It’s the field I’d most like to explore professionally.

B

Hands-on technology

Repair, hardware, and small systems

I’ve explored phone repair and resale, Arduino-style hardware, networking concepts, and early designs for compact custom devices.

C

Civic research

Public records and better questions

I use public-records research to understand how institutions make decisions. The process has taught me to narrow broad questions into specific, answerable requests.
